Slipping & where did Summer go?

Yes, I'm slipping!  Just looked at the amount of post I've had in the last year and I'm really lazy!

I have to get a grip on keeping you all informed on my amazing life!  Shame on me!

Summer was pretty much non-existent here.  I got back from Salt Lake City in mid April and it was really warm here, and actually the warmest month of the year!  I had hoped to see the cherry trees in bloom when I got back but because of the early heat spells I missed all the blooms and even the pink snow that comes from all the petals on the ground.  May was cool and June was cooler, July was down right cold!  We went through August with a few sunny days but nothing that would get anyone sweaty. Now we're in September.

2 days ago, Friday, was actually one of the warmest days in months!  We got up to 78F!  Yeah!  Break out the sandals and tank tops.  One of the locals here mentioned that August and September here can be nice and warm.  I saw him at dinner near by and reminded him of that comment, he agreed with a toothy grin.  He has big teeth and could use a session with the UV light on them (too much tea?).   I just wonder what he'd look like with a tan an extra white teeth.
Yesterday was nice out, we went to Kent, it's east of here.  Loaded up the dogs and hopped on the train to the Hop Fest.  Apparently that area is where they used to grow fields of hops used in the making of British beer.  Sadly they don't grow enough and have to purchase it from Germany or Czech Republic.  Nice warm day with tons of people all drinking various brews in this little town.  I still think cider here is much more interesting.  If you like a 'hoppy' beer then you're all set for some here in England.  The farther north you go, say Scotland, you'll get some of those thick dark beers, stouts.

So there....I posted.

You are like the third person I know that has lived in Louisiana and is now living in the UK. What's going on there?! Glad to see you are doing okay. I couldn't imagine living in another country. Are you adjusting well?
